GFT-LIQUID USED IN AN MC CONSTRUCTION ASPHALT PLANT

MC Construction operates a ASTEC Industries, Inc. double–barrel asphalt plant. GFT liquid concentrate was used over a 90 day time span. The results were as follows.

SUMMARY

Use of liquid GFT will save MC Construction million of dollars annually. Additionally, expanding implementation into all other equipment, such as loaders, haulers, excavators and pick-up trucks, will dramatically reduce fuel cost, maintenance and emissions.

Since emissions were significantly reduced, MC Construction is looking at testing  other asphalt equipment to determine if production rates can be increased in areas like California where stricter air quality regulations are limiting production.

SUMMARY

This power production plant’s goal was to produce maximum steam power, so its water feed injectors were set to produce more power rather than pure fuel savings. The end result was that it achieved significant power gains and efficiencies while still producing a fuel savings. The combined results of 21.9% additional power gained, plus additional fuel savings of 4.4%, provide an aggregate performance increase of 26.3% using Green Fuel Technologies GFT-Liquid Concentrate.
